Snow Procedures

In the unlikely event that Daventry experiences heavy snowfall at any time during the winter months and we need to take the decision to close the school, we will communicate this decision via text message.

The school will only close if weather conditions are severe and therefore making it dangerous for both the staff and children to get to school. Please be advised we will endeavour to make a decision as early in the morning as possible.

It is imperative you update us with any changes to your contact information.

Playground Equipment - Polite Notice

Due to health and safety we are unable to allow children to use our outdoor play equipment including the trim trail, reception platform & slide, tyre park, outdoor gym and reading huts before or after school hours.

Children have lots of opportunities to use each area throughout the day in a safe and well supervised manner. The equipment has been designed especially for our infant pupils and is not appropriate or safe for toddlers.

We will not be responsible for any accidents or injuries received by any children playing on the equipment out of school times.

I appreciate that many of the children will ask you to let them use the equipment before the start of school and when they are collected after school has finished. I appeal to all parents to support us on this matter. I myself and staff will continue to make this rule clear to all pupils in assembly time and in classroom discussions.

Car Park - Polite Notice

Can I remind all parents that our car park drop off bay is only open prior to morning registration and not for use during the day or for collection at 3.15pm.  This is ensure the safety of all our children arriving and leaving the site.

Thank you for your ongoing support and strong parent partnerships.
