Change in drop off and collection times after half term

With the inclement weather approaching we would like to tweak the drop off and collection times so parents are not waiting in the cold for too long.

Year group

1, 3 and 5

2, 4 and 6 (remaining the same)

Please try to arrive on time and not early as this will make bubbles of children cross over and we will have to revert back to the current timings.

These new timings will begin on Monday 2nd November after the half term break.

Training Day

School closes for half term on Thursday 22nd October as we have a staff training day on the 23rd.

Individual School Photographs

The weather was kind to us today and our photographers took some beautiful pictures. You will receive your proofs in the next couple of weeks and should you wish to purchase one, you will be able to place an order and pay online.

Online Safeguarding Concerns

We were dismayed this week to see some very tired Year 6 children in class. They explained that the majority of children in their year group are in a Whats App group and hundreds of messages were being sent throughout the night, including one at 3am. As the minimum recommended age for Whats App is 13, its use by many of our pupils is very concerning.

I was relieved to hear that some children said they are not allowed to have their phones at night and some mentioned their parents lock their phones down from 8pm which is a great idea.

If you would like advise on how to add a parental lock to an electronic device then please contact our Family Support Worker Emma Mudge.

Enjoy the weekend
